Clipboard History keeps a searchable log of everything you copy (text, images, and files) so you can bring any of them back with a keystroke. On-device only.

How it works

Copy things as usual

Every time you copy (⌘C), Dax silently saves the item to your local history.

Open the palette

Press ⌃ ⌥ C. Your recent copies appear in a searchable list with a full preview of the selected item.

Re-paste

Press ↩ to put the selected item back on your clipboard, ready to paste wherever you need it.

Quiet copy indicator

When something is copied, the menu-bar icon briefly becomes a downward arrow instead of playing a sound. The chime is off by default; turn it back on in Settings → Tools → Clipboard History if you prefer it.

Tips

  • Your clipboard history stays entirely on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Text, images, and files are all supported.
  • Copies that password managers mark as concealed are never recorded.
  • Type to search across all copied items.
  • Configure the history size in Settings → Tools → Clipboard History.
