# AI Text Transform

> Rewrite or reshape selected text with AI.

**AI Text Transform** takes text and reshapes it — shorter, clearer, a different
tone, a different format. It's for the everyday edits: tightening a commit
message, rewording a comment, turning notes into prose.

## Open it

Choose **AI Text Transform** from the Dax menu bar.

## Use it

<Steps>

    Paste or type the text you want to change.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Say how to change it">
    Tell Dax what you want — "make it shorter", "more formal", "as a bullet list".
  </Step>

  <Step title="Use the result">
    Copy the rewritten text and paste it back where it belongs.
  </Step>

<Tip>
  Great on commit messages and PR descriptions — paste a rough draft and ask for
  a tighter, clearer version.
</Tip>

* Tightening or clarifying a rough draft
* Shifting tone — casual to formal, or the reverse
* Reformatting text into a list, summary, or table
